There’s this organic changes permeating the political landscape of Kogi state. Besides the fact that there’s a new Government, there’s a new army of people in Government. The New Direction mentality.
Sometime last year, the media was agog in a double faced barrel of negative and positive criticism because an All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth Leader in Kogi East, Anyigba precisely, went back to school. He matriculated in Kogi State University and congratulations poured in. This man was Ahmed Attah.
To me, this was the best thing to happen to our people. The mental psyche and orientation has changed. Mr. Ahmed Attah is someone who carries political followership. He influences the youths. He has a court followership, by implication, many people model their life styles after him.
That singular action to acquire more education had morphed the docile youths into another dimension of thinking. The New Direction kind of political consciousness which is urbane, classy and intellectually based.
Mr. Attah had demonstrated that thuggery which was the personal carriage of those who had political followership in the past has been jettisoned. He made a loud message of generational shift. He had delivered the message of his political house members.
We lived in epoch of political misery where the old people in power only saw that the youths were better for thuggery. With dismembered faces, dreams and focus, many people were harvested into social violence. These ones had their future mortgaged, carry arms for politicians who’s children were mostly abroad, acquiring foreign education and spending government blood money.
It was a tragedy that some of our youths are still under the hypnosis of this wicked men who only prepare them for violence.
Recently, a Kogi Youth, Itodo was quoted to have said the next election would be a “Do or Die” affair. That was the thug mentality manifesting. With the above statement, he doesn’t believe in our electoral system or the principle of democracy and spirit of sportsmanship. He is ready to do or die. But because we now serve a living God in Kogi State, NONE of our youths would die in any elections. Because there’s a New Direction mentality, we would hope to make points by intelligence and intellect, not thuggery and threats.
Because we are given to a new Kogi State that is rising, all forms of violence would be eschewed.
Ahmed Attah is an ambassador of this kind of message. While Itodo is somewhere preaching hate and prophesying violence, Ahmed Attah is somewhere preaching scholarship and intellectual power. While Itodo represents those who intend to take power in 2019 by blood and violence, Ahmed Attah would maintain power by divine injunction, organic performance, intellectual superiority and classy ruggedity.
This is my treatise to Ahmed Attah. I hear is a right hand man of “Araga of boys”. This sends a louder message of the new set of emerging Political armies in Kogi state, sponsored by the New Direction ideology.
