The Guardian Editor Dies In Auto Crash In Kogi

An Editor with the Guardian newspaper Mr John Abba Ogbodo has died in an auto crash at a village called Achijili near Anyigba in kogi state.

Ogbodo who was travelling with four other journalists were believed to be heading to Awka to cover the convocation lecture at the Nnamidi Azikiwe university.

The deputy senate president Ike Ekeremadu was billed to give the convocation lecture

Ogbodo was said to be travelling in a Toyota Siena bus with registration number ATN 212 XA along with five other journalists when the front tyre of the vehicle burst and flung him into the bush.

An eyewitness account said Ogbodo, a middle aged man was sitting at the back seat. When the accident occurred.

Ogbodo was said to have been recently promoted by The Guardian to the post of political editor,  Northern operations.

When contacted ,the sector commander of federal road safety corps Mr Mohammed Garuba confirmed the incident and said his remains has been deposited at Grimad Hospital Ayingba.
