I am becoming frustrated and rethinking the roles I played in helping the APC to power amid increasingly excruciating economic and political crises rocking the state.
On various cables, Alfa Tijani, with Twitter handle @alfatijani1, well known for his APC stance, surprisingly expressed disappointment in the administration, and apologized to his followers for convincing them to vote for APC last year.
It is possible that I convinced a couple of people to vote for APC, I owe them an apology.I will freely say that this is one of the biggest lessons I have learnt in my life so far.
I feel sad and ashamed at the way things are unfolding, the government that promised change is now so bound up in politics that changing anything is practically impossible even when they know the thing is not working.
Even if they kill me, my spirit will continue to fight for the oppressed people of Kogi state. No government has a right to turn his people into paupers. Surely there is an alternative to poverty and above all, there is an alternative to oppression which the governor has subjected this state to. I crusade for that alternative. If I have to die, it is a noble death. I have no regrets.
The governor should step down from office; but not without returning the state’s economic indices and prices to the point they were when he took over.
Never in the history of Kogi state has all institutions witnessed as much strike and workers and pensioners subjected to untold hardship.
Kogi state as at today HAS NO GOVERNMENT.
We provide our water – borehole.
We provide our light – generator and inverter.
We provide our security – high fence and cctv.
We provide our education – private school.
The government has become source of shame that the two years as governor in Kogi State, the governor did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Till date, his era is still termed the worst in Kogi state .
