Taiwo Kola-Ojo: Melaye Mourns Late Kogi PDP Zonal Chairman

Senator Dino Melaye has described the late zonal vice chairman (Kogi West) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. Taiwo Kola-Ojo as a resourceful leader.

In a statement personally signed by the former lawmaker, Melaye noted that the deceased contributed to the development of PDP in Kogi state.

“With heavy heart, I commiserate with the Ojo family, friends and political associates over the painful demise of our resourceful leader and brother – Barr. Kola Taiwo Ojo – chairman Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kogi West Senatorial District.

“As the chairman of the Kogi West PDP, I can attest that Barr Kola Taiwo Ojo contributed immensely to the development of the party, and also did all humanly possible for the success of our party in the 2019 general elections.

“The late Ojo’s footprints in promoting peace, development and politics without bitterness will always be remembered. I, therefore, pray God to accept the soul of the departed, while calling on all leaders of Kogi West and our people to uphold the legacy of selfless service bequeathed by Barr. Kola Taiwo Ojo. May the Almighty God comfort the Ojo family, Okoro Gbede, Ijumu, the Okun nation, friends and indeed the entire PDP family in Kogi State and beyond,” the statement read.

Kola-Ojo, a legal practitioner, was said to be playing tennis at the Sports Centre, Ogudu GRA in Lagos on Tuesday when he slumped. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead by doctors on duty.
