Kogi State chapter of Tailors Association of Nigeria (TAN) has called on the Senior Special Assistant to the state Governor on Youth Empowerment, Amodu Abubakar, to continue to emulate Governor Yahaya Bello.
State Chairperson of the Association, Blessing Dauda, made the call in Lokoja on Wednesday when the association decorated Amodu Abubakar as ‘Champion of Youth Empowerment’.
She explained that the award was in recognition of Amodu’s contribution to the growth of the association and youths.
Dauda noted that Hon. Abubakar has been threading the path of his boss, Governor Yahaya Bello, in terms of women and youth empowerment, which she said was commendable.
She added that the Abuabakar’s contribution to the association and youth empowerment in the few months he assumed office as an assistant to the Governor has been very impactful.
She expressed optimism that Abubakar will perform beyond expectations in the months to come in view of his contribution to the new direction blueprint so far.
Responding, the Governor’s aide expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying the award will spur him to do more for youths in the state.
He attributed the success so far to the guidance of his mentor, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharmacist Abudulkareem Asuku Jamiu. He added that Asuku’s leadership style has impacted the youth in no small measure.
