Kogi-born former youth international, Gbenga Arokoyo is enjoying top reviews after playing his first game for Swedish Premier League side, Mjällby AIF on Tuesday.
A top player of the side, Anders Wikström said he was satisfied with the performance of the Nigerian defender whom he played with for the first time.
”Gbenga is powerful and has a great potential, we have only played just one match together, but it felt good,” Wikström was quoted as saying.
Reacting on his pace during the match, Arokoyo admitted he felt comfortable playing with Wikström.
”I thought we shut them very well, it felt great to play with Anders Wikström. Now I’m playing against Malmö, then we’ll see what happens,” remarked Gbenga who is hoping to be contracted by Mjällby.
