Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka says the Supreme Court verdict affirming Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as duly elected Governor is divine.
In a statement shortly after the verdict in Abuja on Friday, Comrade Edoka described the verdict as victory for democracy which also guarantees improved welfare for the workforce.
The Special Adviser noted that the hands of God is upon the Governor, explaining that from tribunal to Supreme, it has been victory all through, there by demonstrating the Devine nature of the enthronement.
He assured that with the verdict, the Governor is now properly positioned to face governance for the benefit of the masses.
While congratulating the Governor, His Deputy, members of Kogi State Executive Council and the entire people on the verdict, Comrade Onuh Edoka urged the people to give the Governor the needed support to enable him succeed.
The Special Adviser on labour matters noted that the payment of salary of one hundred percent to local government workers was highly appreciated as they are now at per with their state counterparts.
According to him, “the visit of the local government union stakeholders to my office appealing for the upgrade in salary has indeed yielded positive results and I have to express appreciation to the Governor for demonstrating responsiveness in governance”, he avered.
Comrade Onuh Edoka however appealed to all opposition members to put aside their differences and support the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in order to put the state on a faster lane of development.
