Supreme Court Judgement: Omala Stakeholders Call For Prayers

Omala Local Government Administrator, Hon. Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh and the Special Adviser to the governor on Special Duties, Hon. Akoh Adaidu had called on the people of Omala local government area to go into fasting and prayers ahead of the Supreme Court judgement coming up next week Tuesday.

The stakeholders made the appeal at a town hall meeting in Ogodu, Omala Local government, the native home of the Special Adviser.

In their separate speeches, the duo expressed confidence that victory gotten from the tribunal and appeal court will be sustained God’s grace

The council boss outlined the policies and programmes of the New Direction government, saying, they are youth oriented, both human and infrastructural development driven.

He charged the youths to prepare themselves for leadership roles and not to thwart the opportunity given them by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

“The government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a talk and do government. Two Government Secondary School was approved for Omala and Ogodu is privileged to have one sited here. Health care, Education, Agriculture and Youth Empowerment, are top priority of Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s government”, the Administrator added.

Hon. Adaidu, in his remarks, expressed the willingness of the governor to do more for the people of the state.

He said, “Considering the dwindling oil revenue, the state government has completely keyed in to the diversification agenda of the President. In the state Alhaji Yahaya Bello is the number one farmer of the state and every other person is taking cue from him going by the numerous mouth watery agricultural programmes the government has reeled out”.

“There is going to be implementation committee to supervise every government projects, featuring indigenes of the community where the project will take place. The governor has shown commitment to drive Kogi out of recession”, the Special Adviser added.

The paramount ruler of Ogodu community, Oma Aba of Ogodu, Elder Damali Salifu in his remark said his subjects are fully in support of this government at all levels. He urged all concerned to come together and plan a way forward for the progress of the land.

Elder. Salifu offered prayers for the leadership of the country, the state and local government. He thanked the governor for finding one of their own worthy in the person of the Special Adviser, Hon. Akoh Adaidu.
