Supreme Court Judgement: Kogi Unijos Alumni Congratulates Gov Bello, Onoja

The University of Jos Alumni Association in Kogi State has congratulated the people of Kogi State for conducting themselves peacefully before, during and after the September 20th Supreme Court Judgment.

In a message from the Executive Board of the University of Jos Alumni Association, Kogi State, Governor Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State was congratulated for the God given victory saying it is “God’s making” and appealed to the Governor to see the victory as an act of God.

“God has once again proved to the whole world that only him can make leaders” the statement reads.

The association through the statement congratulated one of her members, Hon. David Edward Onoja, the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State for the judgment.

It reaffirmed the commitment of the association towards supporting the new direction government of Governor Yahaya Bello.

The association commended the consistency, perseverance and determination of Hon. Onoja in supporting the governor in building the new Kogi. This it described as legendary and a display of high level team spirit.

The association further appealed to the governor to as a matter of urgency conclude the screening and the payment of salaries to civil servants to reduce the hardship caused by the present economic recession in the country.

It also called on the governor to form a UNITY GOVERNMENT, where all political parties, tribes, religion would be carried along adequately this it said will guarantee a peaceful atmosphere needed for development.

While calling on the governor to be magnanimous in victory, all competitors are enjoined to see all the elections and subsequent litigations as normal activities needed to strengthen democracy and pleaded that consensus be built around the governor for the interest of progress and development of Kogi State.
