On behalf of Members and Staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly and indeed the good people of Lokoja I Constituency, I, Rt. Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam, Speaker, Kogi State House of assembly heartily rejoice with His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, over his overwhelming victory, as finally confirmed by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
There is gain stating the fact that destiny, no matter how delayed, can never be changed. This is a further confirmation by the Supreme God that indeed he has been chosen by God to actualize His purpose for Kogi State.
What is important at this stage in the life of our young state is our collective and genuine effort in seeing that we catch up with States that are viable economically and therefore, can improve the living standard of the people of Kogi State. I therefore, enjoin His Excellency, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada, the former Governor of Kogi State and Honourable James Abiodun Faleke, the former Deputy Governorship candidate of our great Party to join hands with His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, for the good governance of the State.
The New Direction, no doubt, is faced with surmountable challenges that requires all hands to be on deck. Hence, our collective desire to make sure that this government succeeds inspite of all odds. Going forward, Kogi State will be better positioned if we work together as a family. This is a Destiny Assured.
