Hon Suleiman Kokori-Abdul, Federal Commissioner representing the state in the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), was a political leader who never strove to be perfect, because there is no perfect being.

A former member of the House of Representatives, late Kokori-Abdul had no record of misgivings even when his father land, Ebira nation, was engulfed in political crises. He was not indicted nor fingered to have instigated the people. He was a counselor to the youth regardless of social or and political divides.

He lived a gentleman life with clear intent, and actions.

The Ohinoyi Ebira, HRM Dr Ado Ibrahim conferred on him the title ‘Onuwoji Obanyi Ebira’ (designated). His biological father Alhaji Muhammadu Kokori-Abdul was the pioneer holder of the title in Ebira Kingdom.

The political stallion was an advocate the philosophy “Roiza, Koiza, Moiza” a guiding principle for our coexistence in Ebira nation.

Though a politician, he was a social element that attracted all and sundry across political blocs in Ebira, that earned him the appellation ‘Born Democrat’.

He was a scion of Kokori-Abdul political dynasty. May his soul continue to rest in eternal bliss.
