Hon. Suleiman Kokori-Abdul was a man mostly admired for his frankness and steadfastness as well as exemplary humane trait. He was gifted with political skills to navigate and close the gap between people of diverse political ideologies.

Hon Suleiman Kokori-Abdul embodied the character of noble political figure of earlier generations. He lived life so pragmatic, devoid of bigotry and sectional bias with particular reference to his political and social disposition.

He was elected into the 6th National Assembly as honourable member of House of Representative on the platform of Action Congress (AC) in 2007 and he represented the people of Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency well.

He lost his second term bid in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the primary election in 2011. He was subsequently nominated into the federal board of National Institute for Oil Palm Research, Benin City.

Hon Suleiman Kokori-Abdul teamed up with other well-meaning Kogites in All Progressive Congress (APC) and supported the aspiration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello. With the help of God, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello became Governor of Kogi State in 2016.

Hon Kokori-Abdul got nominated as Federal Commissioner in the Federal Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission, facilitated by His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, in 2019, the position he held until death struck on Saturday 14th November, 2020.

His was a life-time of service to God and humanity.
