One of the fastest growing sports promotion outfits in Nigeria, Success Tiyu is set to
honour outstanding Nigerians that have contributed to the development of sports in
the country, most especially to football in Kogi State.
Among those that will be decorated with an award of excellence are member of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh, former President of NFF, Alhaji Sanni Lulu Abdullahi, chairman of Kogi State Football Association, Mallam Umarr Isah, his vice, Mallam Hassan Wada, Chairman of Kogi United and Confluence Queens, Abdul Sule, FIFA referee, Abel Baba and Mrs Agnes Okai.
Brain behind the concept, Abubakar Musa who is fondly called “Manaman” noted that the award is to say thank you to the sons and daughters from North Central zone of Nigeria who have contributed immensely to the rapid development of sports.
“We identified that some of our illustrious sons and daughters from this zone have been making us proud and we felt that it will be something worthy to appreciate them, spur them to do more and of course use the medium to tell others to follow suit,” Manaman said.
The award recipients also include Honorable Ahmed Don Mohammed, Elder Daniel Olokor, former Chaiman of ABS FC, Kogi United and Confluence FC, Mallam Abdul Adama, Basketball Patrion in the country, Justice Nasiru Ajanah.
Others include Professor Aaron Baba, Mr. Segun Olobatoke, Alhaji Ahmed Imam and Mr Sunday Okaiyi.
The inaugural award ceremony will come up in October 3, 2015 at the Hill Top Grant Suites, Lokoja, Kogi State.
