A socio-political group in Yagba Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Omo Yagba Forum has warned Hon Sunday Karimi to desist from attacking Mr President, urging him to concentrate on bringing democracy dividends to the people of the state.
Speaking after an extraordinary meeting in Isanlu, Thursday, the group, through its Director of Public Communications, Comrade Duro Eseyin said Karimi’s representation has been a disaster for the people of Yagba.
“In the entire Kogi West, Yagba has the worst Federal Roads. We thank God that Governor Bello is helping with some state roads as well as helping to make the Federal Roads motorable. What has Karimi done to ameliorate our sufferings in this respect?
“Going to the House to fight the cause of a corrupt godfather who is standing trial for his massive corruption will not help Yagbaland. The godfather amassed so much wealth and his community had no electricity throughout his looting period.
“It is unfortunate that Hon. Sunday Karimi is using our mandate to fight a President that is helping us to cage corruption. In 2019, we will tell Karimi that his solar power boreholes will not save him and his party.
“Karimi should emulate other representatives that are doing well for their constituents and stop acting the script of looters”.
The group thanked Mr President for the reconstruction of the Obajana-Kabba road, appealing to the Federal Government to complete the rehabilitation of the Federal Road in Yagbaland.
He said the youth will continue to support the anti-corruption agenda of Mr President and the New Direction Agenda of Governor Yahaya Bello.
