Special Adviser Promises Revolution in Agric Sector

The newly appointed Special Adviser on Agriculture and Water Resources to the Kogi State Government, Hon David Apeh, has promised to use his office to positively impact lives of the people of the state through robust agricultural policies.

Hon Apeh, according to a statement by the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Sadiq, made the remark on assumption of office.

The Special adviser who expressed his joy on meeting with the management staff of the ministry, solicited for their unwavering support and co-operation in order to enhance the repositioning of the ministry for effective service delivery aimed at revolutionizing agricultural activities in the state.

While pledging to leave a good legacy that will serve as a working template for successive administrations, Hon Apeh had also requested that the ministry should brief him on its activities in order to be abreast with the happenings; just as he called on staff to be proactive and punctual to duty.

In the same vein, the Acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Timothy Onoja, had earlier in his speech promised the readiness of his staff to co-operate with the Adviser, while assuring him of their commitment to come up with robust agricultural policies that can create food security in the state.

The Ministry’s Directors in their various remarks, pledged their co-operation and called on government to pay adequate attention to the sector particularly in the areas of provision of fertilizer, improved seedlings, agro-chemicals, credit facilities and mechanized farming implements across the state.
