Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Momoh-Jimoh Lawal, says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would reclaim the governorship seat won by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November, 2015 election.

The law maker said Kogi remains a PDP state because, 13 out of the 20 members of the state House of Assembly are PDP members.

Lawal, who was accompanied by 12 other  House of Assembly members for a meeting with the National Working Committee (NWC) at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja, yesterday, said all the PDP law makers in the state are now united and working for the party.
He debunked rumour that the APC was making moves to take over the position of Speaker, stressing that the PDP was not deterred.
Lawal also expressed optimism that going by what transpired in the APC, the governorship election petition tribunal would deliver judgment in PDP’s favour.
“There is no way for the APC to defeat us in Kogi State.
“We are the majority in the House of Assembly, and with the cooperation of our members, there will be no problem.
