His Excellency
Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo
The Executive Governor of Kogi state.
We are writing to formally appeal the decision to terminate our employment with Kogi State Vigilante Service by the then controller general, Colonel Aliu. We believe that our dismissal was unfair and unjust.
We believe that the people’s governor and the chief servant of Kogi state in his kindness will reconsider our reinstatement back in to the service.
We would like to highlight that our termination was based on a misunderstanding or “a miscommunication”. However, we strongly believe that this reason does not warrant the extreme measure of termination. We have been dedicated and hardworking employees of Kogi State Vigilante Service for the period of six to seven years, consistently delivering high-quality work.
During our service with Kogi State Vigilante Service, we have made significant contributions to the service which including apprehension of criminals, protecting lives and properties of Kogi state and many more. We have always strived to maintain a positive and professional attitude, adhering to the service policies and code of conduct.
Our dismissal has caused us significant distress and financial hardship.
We are to write letter of reinstatement and to also come to the state headquarter of Kogi State Vigilante Service for screening in January 2025. Which we did.
We are eager to return to work and continue contributing to the success of Kogi State Vigilante Service. We are confident that, with His Excellency’s reconsideration, we can still move Kogi state forward
Thank you for considering our appeal.
Sincerely,
Kehinde Adewale
