Senator Sunday Karimi has secured the All Progressives Congress ticket for Kogi West Senatorial District, emerging victorious in the party’s primary election.
The result officially confirmed by the APC Kogi West Senatorial District Returning Officer, Haruna Isah, announced that Karimi polled 51,665 votes to defeat four other aspirants who contested for the ticket.
The Kogi West APC Senatorial Election Returning Officer, Alhaji Haruna Isah, presented the results of the Kogi West Senatorial primary election to the Chairman of the APC Kogi State Senatorial Primary Election Committee.
Alhaji Abubakar Zakari Ola polled 414 votes while the only female aspirant, Elizabeth Adedoyin got 18 votes.
Though he announced his withdrawal from the exercise, Chief Samuel Aro garnered 620 votes and Senator Smart Adeyemi polled 571 votes.
