Federal Government would have been very far from people at the grass root, but having constituency represention at the both upper and lower chambers of the National Assembly usually draws the Federal Government near to us. That’s why to achieve this, there is more to just having representatives. There is need for a representative who feels and knows the yearning and constituency demands of his people and who knows how to go about it at the National Assembly. It is for this, the impact of Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Yakubu Oseni is felt at the National Assembly which has earned him and his constituency a look from the Federal Government.
The senator, through his chair manning Senate Committee on ICT/Cybercrime has provided E-learning Centres with
supply of 40 sets of computers, industrial printer, 4.5 kva key starter generator, complete set of giant solar power system, two industrial fans and two split air-condition to schools across Kogi Central.
Senator Oseni has also sourced jobs for graduates from his constituency into federal agencies, ministries and parastatals.
In no distance time, Nigeria, Kogi state, Kogi Central and Ajaokuta to be precise, will enjoy the establishment of Ajaokuta Steel University as the bill establishing the University sponsored by Senator Oseni has been passed into law by the 9th senate, awaiting presidential assent to kick-start.
Another bill establishing institute of Computer Forensic of Nigeria sponsored by the same senator has scaled through second reading as well as bill establishing Solid Minerals Development Bank and Solid Minerals Producing Areas Development Agency.
Considering these gigantic inputs and effective leadership imprints, we the people of Kogi Central senatorial district therefore thank His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for providing a level playground for us during 2019 election which paved way for the election of this people-driven senator. We pray that God should continue to elevate you both, amen.
