In a bid to creatively and continuously engage women and youths in his constituency, the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Yakubu Oseni has commenced construction of ultramodern skill acquisition centres.
The skill acquisition centres which are also targeted towards reducing youth unemployment across the five local government areas of his constituency will, according to the lawmaker, be beneficial to people across party lines.
Senator Oseni who revealed that the project which commenced on Tuesday is expected to be completed by the end of next month February, 2021.
While stressing on the timely completion of the projects for the benefits of his people, the lawmaker further revealed that all the land for the project have been provided by the respective executive chairmen of the five local government areas.
The lawmaker emphasized that for the optimum usage, safety and maintenance, the projects when completed, would be handed over to the local government authority to operate.
“The skill acquisition centres are expected to provide uninterrupted service and training to the people, this has informed my decision to equally provide 15KVA Generator for alternative power supply.
“I will continue to engage and lobby relevant authorities to site projects that are beneficial to our people. This is a trying economic moment for our country and those at the grassroots need all life-transforming initiatives that they could gather. On this, I will never relent,” he vowed.
