Senator Ogembe Felicitates With People of Kogi Central on Eid-el-Kabir Celebration

The senator representing  Kogi central senatorial district, Ahmed Ogembe has extended his warm greetings and felicitations to all muslims as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
He congratulated all Kogites who successfully undertook the Hajj this year despite the economic challenges in the country.
He said the people of Kogi central remain people of great faith with the vast majority of the people professing belief in God either as Muslims or Christians.
“There is no doubt that we would make faster progress towards the attainment of developmental objectives as a people if we all resolve to do more and live up to the highest ideals of our religious beliefs, Ogembe said.
He urged all to have the fear of God, and be willing to make personal sacrifices and selfless services for their collective good.
“We must have respect for laws and constituted authorities, honesty, justice, equity, fairness, dutifulness, peace and harmonious co-existence with others.
“As your representative in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, I will continue to be dedicated, committed and focused on purposeful leadership towards overcoming old and emerging challenges facing our great people,”he said.
Ogembe said his door remain open for constructive engagement and dialogue with all of his people, and he shall continue to aggressively implement all measures deemed necessary for the maintenance of peace in all parts of his senatorial district.
“I have already announced plan to provide boreholes and transformers to immediately reduce the challenge of water and electricity faced by our people,” he said.
He said he also plans to put in place youth and women empowerment schemes to help cushion the effect of economic hardship.
Ogembe said as soon as funds for constituency projects are released to the Ministries and MDAs, it will be closely monitored to ensure that quality jobs are done for the benefit of the people.
“I wish all our pilgrims to holy land safe journey back home. Have a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” Senator Ogembe said.
