Senator Ahmed Ogembe representing Kogi central senatorial district on Monday expressed shock over the news of the death of Dr Onukaba Adinoyi Ojo.
In a press statement signed by the Senator, which was made available to the newsmen in Abuja, Ogembe described Late Onukaba as a veteran journalist and a highly placed politician whose wealth of experience has been a source of inspiration to the entire Ebira nation, Nigeria as a whole.
Ogembe recalled that the late Onukaba’s role in the last Kogi state governorship election was uncommon as it is on record that the deceased played a part in unifying the Anebeira’s.
“He was a source of hope and pride to everybody in the land, a very simple and reliable leader who brought beauty and co-existence among his people.
“We have indeed lost an illustrious son and a good citizen, this is very painful. He added.
“I urge our people to find solace in the fact that Dr Onukaba lived an exemplary and a fulfilled life. I pray that God will grant us the fortitude to bear the loss,” he said.
The senator prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and God blessings for the family he left behind.
