The Chairman, Senate Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariffs, Senate Isah Jibrin (Echocho), has expressed shock and sadness over the sudden death of Mohammad Ibrahim Idris, who died after Eid-el prayer at his Abuja residence on Wednesday.

In a statement issued by special adviser on media to the senator, Mikail Ibrahim conveying a message of condolence addressed to the former Governor, Echocho said he is greatly pained by the death of Mohammed.

“On behalf of myself and my family, I wish to express our deep condolences over the death of your son. I am pained over this death that has cut short the life of a young Nigerian, full of hope and promise for the future of this country. We will surely miss him,” he said.

The lawmaker said the death of Mohammad has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill as he urged the family he left behind to take solace in the fact that the late Alh Mohammad lived a life worthy of emulation and was a pride to his parents.

The lawmaker prayed that Allah SWT would grant the deceased eternal rest and the immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Also, a political stalwart form Omala local government area, Dr. Alih Ajuh, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of former Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ibrahim Idris, over the tragic demise of his son, Mohammed.

“The death of Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Idris is truly devastating. Our thoughts and prayers are with the former Governor and his family during this incredibly difficult time,” Ajuh said.

Dr. Ajuh extended his deepest condolences to the Idris family, praying for the repose of the deceased’s soul and for God to grant the former Governor and his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“May Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Idris’ gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” he added.
