Chairman senate committee on Sustainable Development Goals, Senator Atai Aidoko Ali has urged well placed individuals in the society to extend their goodwill to Moslem brothers and sisters in the holy month of Ramadan.
Aidoko made this remark while donating 180 bags of rice to moslems from Kogi East and other part of the state to mark this year’s Ramadan fast.
Senator Aidoko said the gesture is to allow the moslem folks mitigate the desire to overcome some basic needs that has to do with holy month feeding and supplication.
Aidoko urged the moslem community to use the spirit of the holy month pray for the leadership and political office holders in their quest to dispense good leadership traits to the people.
Kogi East senator urged the beneficiary of the gesture not to keep it to themselves alone, but to show love by extending the goodwill to other members of their communities.
He appealed to the moslem ummah to use the last ten days of the holy month to exhaust prayers for the area,the country with a view to achieving virile strong political, economic and social base for the country.
