In the spirit of #Not-Too-Young-To-Rule, Comrade Raji Abdulazeez, has picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) form for the Kogi State central senatorial district.
Abdulazeez picked his nomination and expression of interest forms at the National Secretariat of the APC in Abuja, even as he decried the state of his community, saying majority of the indigenes are still very poor, adding that the youths are largely unemployed despite the God-given wealth in state.
He told newsmen he was in the race to bring quality representation of his constituency and contribute meaningfully to the unity of the nation and national development.
Abdulazeez said his decision to purchase the form was borne out of his desire to salvage his constituency.
According to him, ‘’My decision to contest for this election is a fight to break the monopoly which has presented itself in a hydra fashion. On our own part, we have chosen to approach the business of representation in a manner it should be and it is, in advanced democracies.
“I am therefore more bothered and concerned with the plight of my two immediate and dear constituencies namely, the age constituency which is the youths and my larger place of birth constituency the Kogi State central senatorial district.”
Abdulazeez, who has a diploma in Public Administration, First Degree in Political Science and a Masters in International Relations, said having worked in several challenging areas he is no doubt the best person for the job.
He lamented that his people are surrounded with water bodies but have no water to drink, poor health system, with educational enrolment and retrogressive facilities.
“All this occasioned deep-seated frustration and attendant criminality. These factors I intend to employ my professionalism to reverse at the red chamber. I am going to deploy my connections and lobbying prowess to achieve good life for my constituency in particular and Nigerian in general,’’ he added.
