A household name and leading aspirant for the 2019 Kogi Central Senate position under the All Progressive Congress (APC), Distinguished Khalifa Abdulrahman Okene has handed over a multi-million Naira GMC vehicle to his support group famously called G20 Khalifa Engine Network (G-KEN).
The presentation took place on Sunday, June 3rd at his residence in Abuja FCT.
Earlier in his speech, the would-be Senator described his political aspiration as a clarion call to service, pointing out that he is in the race to give effective representation to his people, which, according to him has not been extended to his constituents.
Khalifa revealed that before now, he has been impacting on the lives of Kogi Central people positively through his Helping Hands Foundation and Khalif Cares Foundation, hence his resolve to do more if given the opportunity to serve.
The entrepreneurial guru further said; “I am not in the race for personal gains, because God has already blessed me. It is without niminy-piminy of words that Kogi Central people need a vibrant voice in the Senate. Someone who will sacrifice his experiences, resources, time and energy for their welfare. And it is on that cause, I have made myself available for the race of selfless service to humanity.”
Khalifa in his akin address to G-KEN team, enjoined them to see themselves as privileged to be counted among the “instruments” of change that would better the lives of Kogi Central people and Kogi state at large. He urged them to discharge their duties without any bitterness or envy, but welcome all intending members for the overall interest of the people.
Handing over the vehicle to G-KEN Team, he thanked them for their selfless support, commitment, and dedication to his project, and advised them to diversify their functions.
In the quest to ensure APC victory in all levels of elections in 2019, he said President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello are the top priority candidates of the team.
The President of G-KEN, Prince Suleiman Adinoyi having received the vehicle thanks the would-be Senator for his foresight and surprises. He prayed for him and promised to utilize the opportunity in propagating support for him. The president also pledges on behalf of G-KEN members to mobilize effectively.
