Having a goal of leaving this world a better place no matter the frustration and intimidation from the people who have myopic reasoning is one of the principles for effective leadership. The truth is never back down.

In our quest to spread the truth to the nooks and cranny of Kogi West work done so far by Sen. Smart Adeyemi and the need for his continuity as senator beyond 2015, we used this Sallah break to tour towns and villages in Kogi West. Aside his qualitative and vibrant representation at the red chamber, Sen. Smart has touched even the smallest village in Kogi west in-terms of physical project(s) and/or giving job(s) to indigenes.

Since assumption in office, Sen. Smart has been striving hard and working tirelessly to see Kogi West become a better place for all it citizen. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said “even if Jesus Christ was to come down and conduct election, people will still complain is not free and fair”. It is now obvious and clear borrowing from that statement that even if Jesus Christ or Allah should come down to this planet of ours and in any political office in Nigerian some hypocrites, ungrateful souls and enemies of progress will still criticize. No doubt, a person who is not allergic to progress will always appreciate good and reasonable developments when they take place. Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts, it is about one life influencing another. Sen. Smart Adeyemi has influenced lives. He has brought new face of hope and motivated the youth, market women, farmers and students and makes them all groom confidence that there are even better days ahead.

It is very sad that most of us are not aware of how blessed we are, having a vibrant, Influential, God fearing, humble, cool-headed and progressive legislator representing our interest at national Level. Out of greed and self-interest, we’ve always wanting more and more. It’s not until he’s not there anymore that we will begin to realize his value and potential.

Earlier last week, I read a comment on my last article and tears roll down my eyes. A young from Yagba axis was so sentimental which made him loose his sense of reasoning. He said and I quote “it’s NOT all about good, vibrant or qualitative representation, it’s not all about development in Kogi West but it’s all about a Yagba Man becoming the next senator come 2015?.

Reading this from a youth like me, I felt disappointed and compelled to source for his contact to have a physical chat with him which I did. His orientation towards good governance was too low as all he was lamenting on is Yagba turn (Self-Interest). His reasoning was so myopic, although he admitted that nobody can do the job better than Sen. Smart Adeyemi. He has been very outstanding and has achieved the unachievable so far. He said all he wants is a Yagba man becoming a Senator. I asked him since no better option, are you insinuating that Kogi West people should have four (4) or eight (8) years of poor representation and bad governance? So annoying that he said, “Yes, as long as he is a Yagba man”. God help us.

My good people of Kogi West, this not just about Yagba, it’s not all about “our turn” base on rotation as a Yagba man will always say. It is all about good governance, it’s about a good, reasonable, experienced and powerful leadership. It’s all about unstoppable developmental strive in Kogi West.

If these set of selfish, pot-belly politicians from Yagba so much respect and believe in antecedents and/or rotational principle, why as a Yagba man did many of them contest against Sen. Smart Adeyemi 2007 and 2011?

Ahead of 2015 senatorial election in Kogi West, I have seen all the aspirant contesting against Sen. Smart Adeyemi and can boldly say, these are set of politicians who has taking their time to enrich themselves and immediate family with the dividends of democracy under Sen. Smart Adeyemi. Now today, they are giving wrong impression to the masses. Who is fooling who?

Categorically speaking, Sam Aro, Dino Melaye, Tunde Olusunle, T.J Faniyi are no match to Sen. Smart Adeyemi because these are set of politicians we’ve once tasted with political offices and they failed. They have no positive impact to their immediate environment let alone to Kogi West in general (Noise Makers).

All progressive youth and students in Yagba axis has aligned with Sen. Smart Adeyemi’s continuity beyond 2015. These are youth and students who see Okun as one home. They detest politics of hypocrisy. These are youth and students who believe and appreciate the good work and quality representation of Sen. Smart Adeyemi. These are youth and students who put Okun first. They believe in oneness and unity of Kogi West.

However, without any iota of sentiment, I urge these attention seeking politicians to stay clear as there is NO VACANCY in Kogi West senate seat come 2015. Sen. Smart Adeyemi is God’s sent as he has put smile in the faces of his people. He is a blessing to this generation and generation unborn. His continuity at the Senate will bring more blessings to the people of Kogi West.

I shall conclude thus, I expect any form of critics, negative comments and attack from the oppositions as we the progressive youth do not attack people’s personality but bring out facts. We focus on their past performance and future benefits to the masses. Sen. Smart Adeymi is the good, the better and the best man for the job. He is tasted and trusted.

Kogi West is very close to the promise land and we will not welcome any form of disunity and/or retrogression. God is our refuge and strength, He that is in us (progressives) is greater than he that is in them (enemies of progress). Atari Ajanaku, Kiseru Omode
