The Executive Chairman of Adavi local government area of Kogi state, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has described the State Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Deedat Ozigi Salami, as a man of immense wisdom.

The council chairman made this known when he led royal fathers, party stalwarts and delegation of Lusty Political Foundation on a courtesy visit to the commissioner’s office in Lokoja on Tuesday.

Hon. Joseph Omuya noted that the commissioner is a well reserved personality who hardly publish his generosity.

“We greatly appreciate your support for Adavi local government council. As a matter of fact, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for your donation of two Sharon buses to support our security architecture.

“I also want to seize this opportunity to thank your friend and colleague, Hon. Yakubu Ododo, the Auditor General for the Local Governments, for his kind gesture when he also gifted us a Sharon Bus yesterday to support the movement of Adavi Security Network who are always on duty to curb insecurity, social vices and sustain peace of our local government.

“I believe these gestures are to complement His Excellency’s efforts on security. As you all aware and know the present administration under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello do not joke with the lives and property of his people and he can go to any length to sustain peace across Kogi state.

“We are not going to relent our efforts, we will continue to try our possible best to make His Excellency and his entire cabinet members proud,” he said.

Barr. Deedat Ozigi Salami, in his brief remark, thanked the Adavi LG delegation led by the council chairman for the visit. He promised to always make himself available anytime his attention is needed.

“I must say that I acknowledge your government’s effort on security and all other infrastructural development you have provided for the communities. Furthermore, your relationship with the people of Adavi and all your political cabinet members has been very healthy and that is commendable.

“I urge you to keep it up and always be a man with sincerity of purpose as I have always known you to be. Treat issues as it comes without fear or favour as you used to.

“Adavi is a home for all, and we will continue to ensure that Adavi and every other local government remain secured for the dwellers,” Barrister Deedat stated.
