The bid by Nigerians of note to return President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office in 2019 is non-negotiable, the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Chief Edward Onoja said.
The Chief of Staff who made this declaration while attending the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Congress on Saturday in his country home in Ogugu in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, said the Nigerian President has done quite well in the last three years to deserve second term in office.

He said President Buhari is a man of unquestionable character and integrity who is redirecting the country positively from the rots of the People’s Democratic Party’s dark era, stressing that he must be returned to consolidate on his good work for the betterment of the country.
He said Buhari has amongst other positive things laundered the image of the country on the international stage, saying countries of the world, irrespective of their status now want to identify with Nigeria.
Onoja emphasized that President Buhari is ordained by God at this time in our history to steer our socio-economic and political ship to the right path.
“Shortly before now, the whole world thought that the President had died and gone, but just last week, he was standing beside the most powerful man on the surface of the earth, President Donald Trump of the United States, healthy and gallantly. This is enough to tell us that God Almighty is involved,” the Chief of Staff said.
He cautioned Buhari’s detractors to desist from their act of sabotage, saying no force, “whether third or fourth force” Red card or Red Cap could stop Buhari from winning by landslide in 2019. He said Nigerians are on red alert to ensure those those who have frittered the nation’s wealth in the past must not return to power, noting that all the antics of old politicians who have impoverished the people will not work again.
Onoja, particularly lambasted one of the principal campaigners of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG), the Minister of Education in Obasanjo era, Dr Oby Ezekwesili for her repulsive criticism of President Buhari, saying she has no moral justification to stand against the President.
“This woman supported the third term bid of Obasanjo, and today she is pretending to be supporting the Nigerian masses. This is a woman who as minister of education called for the privatisation of our unity schools in this country. Her actions have denied many of children good education,” he said.
He was upbeat that his principal, Governor Bello and President Buhari would be victorious in Kogi 2019, noting that they have done in short time what no government in the history of Nigeria has ever done.
