Aliyu Mahmud, member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) ,has congratulated Hon. Tijani Muhammed Ozigis, member representing Okene/Ogori-Magongo Constituency, on his victory at the appellate court.
He described the appeal court judgment as a welcome development.
The court of appeal sitting in Abuja, on Friday, dismissed an appeal filed by Hon. Sanni Ogembe, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging Tijani’s victory in the 2023, Okene/Ogori-Magongo Constituency House of Representatives election.
Mahmud, in his congratulatory message, said the judgement delivered by the court of appeal affirmed that the rule of law is meant to protect the will of the people in a free and fair electioneering process.
He commended the lawmaker for his performance in office so far and urged him not to relent.
“The confidence the people repose in Hon. Tijani Muhammed has been well earned and should be wholly respected. I urge the candidate of the people’s Democratic party (PDP) to shelf partisan politics and join hands with the elected member to develop Okene/Ogori-Magongo Constituency”
