Member representing Ankpa federal constituency, Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has praised federal government for the award of Makurdi-Naka and Adoka-Ankpa roads project.
The federal lawmaker said the award for the construction of these roads under SUKUK fund of the Federal government is the best thing that will happen to the people of the area in over three decades.
Halims maintained that the roads, that have been yearning for government attention in the last four decades, is an important route that is linking not only Benue state but easy access to South-South, part of South- East and North- Central states.
He stated that the state of the roads which has turned to death traps and easy access for criminal elements will be a thing of the past after its rehabilitation. He thanked the government of Kogi and Benue states for making recommendation to the federal government on the desire to reconstruct the roads.
The federal lawmaker assured the APC-led government of unalloyed support of the people of his constituency in its determination to provide infrastructural development to the area.
