Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has assured constituents of his avowed commitment to the overall development of the constituency.
Rep Halims gave the assurance during an interactive session with constituents resident in Abuja at Ladi Kwali Hall of Amanda Garden.
He noted that the primary assignment of a lawmaker is to be a voice of reason cum action for the electorate, adding that he has not only been a voice but a leading one as far as the House of Representatives is concerned.
Halims, who chairs the House Committee on Steel Development, explained that aside sponsoring bills, motions and projects, he has empowered over one thousand constituents.
The bill for an act to provide the legal framework to establish the Federal Medical Centre Ankpa, and the motion calling on the federal government to urgently complete the Bagana-Guto bridge are some of the lawmaker’s notable efforts towards bettering the lots of the people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency.
Constituents, who made separate remarks on behalf of the three local government areas under Hon Halims’ jurisdiction, all commended the lawmaker for his efforts so far, especially in the area of providing potable water as well as running an open door policy for all concerned.
