The member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State at the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has gifted the Onu Ankpa, HRH Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar a brand new car in appreciation of his contribution to the development of the area.
The monarch’s car gift presentation was part of the activities that marked the historic mega empowerment program of over three thousand constituents to the tune of about two hundred and sixty million naira during the last Sallah celebration.
Responding, His Royal Highness described the gesture as a rare act of promise fulfillment which according to him is not common with politicians. He prayed God to bless the donor whom he said has demystified politics by giving meaning to leadership through his numerous human and constituency development projects.
The royal father commended Rep. Halims for his town lightening projects, provision of portable water to all, skill acquisition programs, human capital development, environmental degradation control, suburban community development etc.
All these he said are evident in the installation of solar powered street lights, construction of over twenty five solar powered boreholes, training of several women/youths in entrepreneurship development, facilitation of Federal pensionable jobs, gully erosion control works with standard drainages at Ejinya-Efofe as well as the ongoing asphalt overlay of Ojede and Liberia linkage roads, respectively.
Just as the federal lawmaker appealed for in his declaration speech to seek reelection, the royal father equally called on all stakeholders to support the Lawmaker in his bid for continuity noting that a good term deserves another.
