Rep Halims Facilitates Training, Empowerment of Hundreds of Constituents in Fashion Design, Shoe Making

The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has facilitated training and empowerment for over 250 Youths and Women in fashion design and shoe making across his Federal Constituency.

The programme was organised by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs in partnership with ONYIDO & ONYIDO LTD as Rep. Halims continues to display his outstanding leadership qualities and sincerity of purpose in the service of the people he represents as evident in the massive empowerment programmes he has facilitated to his Federal Constituency.

While reacting to the five days program, the project manager of ONYIDO & ONYIDO LTD, Mr Benjamin Adebola commended the Deputy House Leader, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims for giving back to his people in such magnificent ways adding that the truest test of leadership is in the delivery of gestures that can be ordinarily misappropriated.

In their separate remarks, representatives from the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr Adekanye Amos and Mr Odejo Joseph who were on ground to monitor the program advised the beneficiaries to take advantage of the skills learnt and be self-reliant, stressing that fashion design and shoe making can improve their economic status in their various communities if they put it into commercial venture.

Highlight of the training and empowerment program was a participants interactive session, issuance of certificates and presentation of start up grants to the beneficiaries most of whom were overjoyed as evident in their prayers for Rt. Hon. Halims.
