In the words of General Collin Powell of the United States of America he asserted, “Leadership is solving problems. The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them…”

Also, Warren Bennis in his words noted that, “Leadership is ability to translate vision into reality. Responsibility is the hallmarks of leadership”.

To this extent, it is sacrosanct for any leader to become exceptional and be regarded as one by his people, such must be a leader who is always responsible and responsive to the needs and problems of his followers, one who always listen carefully to those he leads, one who always show interest in what others say, one who always create awareness in others, who is innovative and one whose priority is the welfare of his people.

How else can a reasonable one describe Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims, the Honourable Member representing the good people of Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency at the National Assembly. A character with an imposing personality and charisma beyond the comprehension of many, a lover of humanity and committed Federal Legislator whose utmost priority is the welfare of his people, a man with an enviable human relations sagacity with an incomparable listening ears and accommodative prowess.

Indeed, Hon. Halims is an exceptional leader. A God-sent to the people of Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency. This is a glaring fact not farfetched to all and sundry owing to his overwhelming human and infrastructural developmental achievements and his outstanding demonstration of outspoken and influential productive legislature so far in less than two years in office as a reps member representing his constituency.

It is on record and worthy of note that Hon. Halims is about the sixth honourable members of House of Representatives Ankpa Federal Constituency has produced since the fourth republic of Nigeria. However, it is evidently indisputable that Hon. Halims’ hand written of developmental strides on the surface of Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala in his less than three years of stewardship in office has remarkably brought him to the limelight of a true leadership standard above all his predecessors. A tremendous performance which will no doubt, last the test of time and to which the good people of Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala would ever remain grateful.

It may interest you to know that Hon. Halims, on his scorecards as a lawmaker, has moved more than twenty imperative motions, sponsored over seven Bills of national and his constituency interest with numerous outstanding and influential contributions at different House Committees and oversight functions. A rare achievements by an outspoken Legislator within a very short period of time.

More so, on human and infrastructural development, Hon. Halims has overwhelmingly proved himself beyond reasonable doubt with avalanche of quality and qualitative projects undertook in different areas of educational development, promotion of healthcare, promotion of agriculture, youth and women empowerment, construction of roads, provisions of solar powered portable water, distributions of welfare packages, facilitation of job employments for unemployed youths, provisions of street solar lights, erosion control and water drainages, display of exceptional human relations sagacity with utmost priority for the welfare of his people and many others. The core dividends of responsive representation by a capacity building Legislator of out time.

Yes, to the good people of Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency, it is an era of great harvest of dividends of responsive representation. No doubt, with the demonstration of Hon. Halims’ dynamic leadership capacity at the National Assembly within this less than three years, we are confident that our land is safe, secured as we shall anticipate for more hence its a conventional reality that, “one good turn always deserves another”.
