When writers throw objectivity above board to drive home some points, it make such write up reduced to mere exercise in futility and undignified, particularly when it is targeted to run down a personality like Kogi East senator, Atai Aidoko Ali to the advantage ‎of a known non-party person looking for greener pasture in PDP to achieve inordinate ambition.
Ordinarily, there was no point at all to dignify such myopic write up meant to set against each other the Igala race that have been pauperised politically and otherwise, but posterity will not provide succour for this nature of silence against the race at this critical point in time.
In fairness to all the former senators mentioned in the well crafted article to suite the writer and their sponsors whims and caprices, the article of singling out the current and ranking senator as beneficiary of the courts, need to be put straight to avoid further misgivings and erroneous impression.
‎For history and clarity, Senator Atai Aidoko Ali remains the only political office holder from Kogi East with an unrivalled and unbroken political profile in our recent time, having served consecutively as two time member of the House of Representatives and now, a second term senator of the federal republic. This placed him strategically as potential principal officer of the Senate in times to come with the wisdom of the people of Kogi East.
The beauty of democracy, according the proponents, is the operationality of the three arms, comprising of the executive, the legislature and the judiciary regarded as the last hope of a common man. So, the idea of casting aspersions on the futility of the courts was a joke taken too far by the originator.
To put the records straight, Senator Aidoko’s two terms in the lower house was devoid of litigation, while the senate was highly litigated to resolve personal interest and thorny issues.
Distinguished Senator Atai Aidoko removed Senator Dangana Ocheja at the Appeal court for lack of jurisdiction. Ocheja lost at the Supreme Court while a pre-election matter between AM Alfa and the senator went to the apex court that struck out the matter and ordered for retrial. Twice, Kogi East senator secured victory at the higher court while Alfa got his at the high court, with the case moving to court of appeal again for further hearing. So where has the senator gone wrong?
In a sane democratic environment, ambition is realisable ‎from the people and also from the law courts to ensure seamless and peaceful political environment. This is an idea the current senator have continued to nurture and protect. So, where is the wrong impression coming from? Political exigency? I don’t know. Let us not be prejudicial.
It is in the public domain that the writer and his sponsors have criss-crossed the Igala/Bassa land to sell his unhidden agenda against the Igala race to no avail, so resorting to damaging allegations to achieve political sympathy will yield no good result.
The public are also not unaware ‎that the writer sponsors political ambition had hidden for years under deceitful unnoticeable empowerment, skill acquisition, and other life touching activities without consideration of any of his kinsmen or women and their offshoots engaged in the banking sector and industry were he had spent over two decades and made fortunes/ostentation.
‎No doubt, the sponsor of the writer, who is not a party man nor PDP member, had criss crossed and planted their offshoots, acquaintances and concubines  in the ruling party, APC, so as to destroy the destiny of the Igala people and on going political liberation.
Another unpracticable political calculations ‎of the writer is the idea of using the senate to achieve gubernatorial ambition. We don’t need all this. We have those already placed to play a greater role at the national assembly especially the current senator, Atai Aidoko Ali’s vantage position and privilege.
The failed attempt by the new political bride of kogi east senatorial slot to convince a former Kogi governor to support during the controversial tribunal hearing to take over from him as the governor is still fresh, even though he openly supported the late former governor of the state who was winning the election under APC.
The time is now ripe for the people of Kogi East and PDP to look before they leap to avoid further pitfalls and political imprisonment been perpetrated by this group of political jobbers as election is around the corner.
Kogi East Senator, Atai Aidoko Ali representing the PDP is politically tolerable and does not believe in political castigation and destruction to his advantage. Kogi East electorates should ponder on this.
