I was woken up this morning by beeps from my cell phone. On checking, they were from Samuel Oj Temibi, the problem is, a harmless post he made on his Facebook timeline yesterday, which is meant to be a casual post went viral on these following blogs:
Naij.com.
Instablog.
Nairaland.
Naijaonpoint.com.
Informationng.com.
Gistmania.com.
Linda ikeji’s blog.
Gossip mill Nigeria and other Nigerian popular bloggers.
In his exact words, Samuel Oj Temibi said, “the post was meant to catch fun with my Facebook friends”. To add insult to injury, his picture was used as featured image.
Fact is, Samuel Oj Temibi is a single young man, who is never married. As far as he is concerned, his right has been infringed upon in so many ways by this spurious, fallacious and delusive publications aside the facts that, It is unprofessional, unethical and illegal in journalism to share someone’s post without his/her consent”
The intent of the twisted publication which is unknown can be subjected to different meanings that are damaging to the person of Samuel Oj Temibi.
He stated that he would will never be deterred or perturbed from carrying out his advocacy for good governance.
He therefore urged the blogs to cross reference fact before making repulsive publications and if not for his financial capacity, he would have sued all liable blogs for damages!
