My attention has been drawn to a fraudulent advertorial published in the Saturday, October 31, 2015 edition of Daily Trust newspaper titled ‘Kogi Guber Election and Our Enemies in High Places’. The advertorial was purportedly sponsored by an unknown ‘Concerned Kogi APC Stakeholders’ and my name was criminally added as one of the signatories.
I want to make it clear to the whole world that the advertorial is from agents of frustrated elements in Kogi state politics who can see the writings on the wall.
There was never a time that I and the respected leaders of APC mentioned in the fraudulent advertorial sat and put up such mountain of nonsense that was published. We will get to root of this and the masquerades behind this will be prosecuted.
The fraudulent piece claimed we were not happy with the Presidential choice of Barrister James Enojo Ocholi SAN as Minister of the Federal republic, nothing can be further from the truth. I have nothing against James Ocholi and was indeed one of the first to congratulate him when his nomination was officially announced. The authors are making futile efforts to create rancour among APC leaders. This kindergarten politics cannot fly.
The leadership of APC in Kogi are united in their bid to rescue Kogi state and no amount of propaganda based on imaginary disaffection will distract us from achieving set goals.
Let me also state that there have been attempts to hack my Facebook account and use my timeline to post inciting anti-APC statements. I have maintained improved security on my Facebook account but i also know how desperate these elements are. I want to notify my followers that if in the days before November 21 elections they see any anti-APC posts on timeline, they should know that such is coking from the same source as the fraudulent advertorial in Daily Trust.
I have related with Kogites from diverse backgrounds and leaning and most of them confirmed that Kogi must be rescued come November 21, 2015. We are on the same page with our people and we will not let them down.
– Mallam Abdul Adama, APC Chieftain
