The new allegation against Senator Dino Melaye of planning mayhem in Kogi State is one out of many Kogi State government funny and desperate strategy to stop distinguished Sen Dino Melaye and PDP train from campaigning in the coming 2019 general election by igniting repeated lies, flimsy, frivolous and unfounded allegation ahead of our various planned consultation and campaigns.
Firstly, Sen Dino Melaye is an illustrious son of the soil from Kogi who will not engage in such violent political style like them.
Secondly, Kupa where they’re now choking over is another home and known support base of Sen Dino Melaye. The people of Kupa have demonstrated their love for him umpteenth time including the state government sponsored failed recall this year. Sen Dino Melaye like other places defeated them. It is therefore, sounds so laughable to accuse him of attempting to destroy his own home (Kupa).
The good thing is that good people of Kogi State and particularly, Kogi West constituents know how many times the state government have launched series of violent attacks against the person of Sen Dino Melaye.
It is on record how Kogi state government sponsored violent attacks against Sen Dino in Lokoja, state capital, last year while on his way to Abuja, where he stopped over to address students and supporters in front of Kogi state polytechnic.
Kogi West people can also recall vividly during the Sen Dino Melaye’s tours, project commissioning and thanksgiving in July 19, 2018 where he was heavily attacked in his home town Ayetoro Gbede after which they blocked the road with Yagba East local government grader and prevented him and his entourage from entering Isanlu, Yagba East to commission some of his project in that axis.
Same government sent people to burn down one of Sen Dino’s project in Sarkin Noma, Lokoja in July this year. They waylaid Sen Dino Melaye at will with special strikers and thugs without any sign of repentance.
In a similar satanic act few weeks ago, Sen Dino Melaye visited his country home, Ayetoro Gbede, the state government equally mobilized police and some other security agencies from government house Lokoja who invaded his house around 1: 00am to assassinate him.
We seriously challenge the state government and its agencies to reveal to the public the source, what and how they arrived at such spurious allegation, or else they should remain mute as imminent defeat awaits APC and its candidate in the next election.
We’ve have observed their allegation as one who intend to cover up certain sinister plans.
If APC and it’s Senatorial candidate are afraid to visit Kupa due to their years of failed promises, bad governance style and serial lies to the people, they should look for other decent mechanism to sought themselves out and stop dragging Sen Dino Melaye into their political misfortune.
One can’t imagine how the same govt who is known across the country as most violent in the history of governance now alleging a very peaceful, resourceful and focused Senator, whose priority is to develop his people, liberate them from the hands of shackles economic scavengers and legends of violence poverty and unpaid salary.
We wish to reaffirm seriously to the good people of Kogi West, Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole that distinguished Sen Dino Melaye, (PDP Kogi West), remains an unrepentant advocate of peaceful, democratic, progressive and developmental politics as demonstrated so far in his three years in office as Senator of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, where over 149 visible projects spread across Kogi West is credited to him.
We publicly declare that all this projects were achieved for the benefits of our people without any violence anywhere.
Sen Dino Melaye abhors violence and all its feature entirely, we therefore, advise Kogi state government engage and divulge itself with issue based politics and stop shivering and demonstrating failure and disgrace on daily basis.
If this new concocted allegation is meant to stop PDP and indeed Sen Dino Melaye from exercising their democratic rights to freedom of association, movement, lawful assembly and campaign, we state unequivocally that they’ve failed as no Jupiter will stop us.
We again, advise Kogi state government to utilize all the resources, energy, time and weapons deployed in opposition and indeed Sen Dino Melaye on daily basis, for the actualization of good governance, payment of salaries and pension, development as well as ameliorate the pains of the suffering masses.
