Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu of Ankpa 2 state constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly has urged all Kogi Muslims to offer special prayers for the state during the period of Ramadan for greater peace and security in the state.
In his Ramadan message, the lawmaker congratulated all Muslims in Nigeria and worldwide on the commencement of this year(2018)’s fast.
In the message, he said “as we join fellow adherents of the Islamic faith in other parts of the country to undergo the annual acts of spiritual purification of Ramadan fast against the background of security challenges in the state, there is need to offer special prayers for greater peace and security in the state.
Further, the lawmaker seizes the opportunity of the commencement of the Ramadan fast to reassure the good people of Enjema and Ojoku districts of Ankpa local government area that he will continues to work tirelessly for the greater good of the area.
“He then urged Kogites not to be carried away by the despair of ethnic, cultural and religious differences but remain steadfast in the firm belief that even though tongue and thoughts may differ, we will thrive if there is love and tolerance for one another.”
He concluded by wishing the Muslim community at all level always rewarding and spiriually robust Ramadan fast.
