Islamic leaders in Jimgbe and Ganaja communities in Ajaokuta local government area have commended Kogi governorship hopeful, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim for his generosity and commitment to the people.

The leader lauded Abubakar’s sponsorship of Ramadan program on Prime FM radio station.

Led by Ustaz Mohammed Audu, the leaders said the commendation became necessary as the daily raido program sponsorship has improved the in-depth knowledge of religious activities in the holy month.

Ustaz Mohammed said what Kogi state need now are leaders with the fear of God who are ready to deploy same in the management of the state resources and its people.

He noted that the entrance of  Abubakar Ibrahim Idris into the governorship contest is a welcome development. He expressed confidence that Abubakar will no doubt attract a lot of development, when elected, and is expected to surpass the legacies of his father who govern the state for eight years.

The yearly Ramadan fast, spanning 30 days is a period when Moslems dedicate most of their time to constant spiritual activities, coupled with restrictions from all vices while making prayers and supplication to the Almighty God.

He urged the aspirant to do more when elected in the area of education, health and infrastructural development.
