Ramadan: Former Kogi Governor Calls for Tolerance, Sacrifice

Former Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has appealed to Muslims to use the holy month of Ramadan Fast to display genuine love, tolerance and divine disposition in all their dealings.

In a statement issued in Abuja at the commencement of this year’s Ramadan fast, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris urged the people to avoid untoward activities during the solemn period.

He urged the people of Kogi state to preach oneness and use the occasion to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor through giving to mitigate the challenges faced by the less privileged.

He commended patriotic citizens of Kogi state who have been providing palliatives and those involved in advocacy and sensitization on the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris wished Moslems a happy Ramadan period, urging them to pray fervently for the survival of Nigeria.
