A frontline 2023 Kogi governorship, Prince Dayo Akanmode has urged Muslims in the state to use the Ramadan period to intensify prayer for a peaceful and better Kogi State and Nigeria at large

Prince Akanmode, in a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Saturday, described prayer as an indispensable tool for soliciting divine intervention to bring an end to the insecurity and economic challenges bedeviling the country.

He said as security agencies continue to battle for the protection of the nation’s territorial integrity, Nigerians must assist them in prayers to succeed.

The governorship aspirant also said Kogi State in particular needs prayer for better welfare of the people, assuring that in no distant time than now, the sufferings of Kogi people will be over.

He charged Muslims to embrace peace and love for one another during and after the fasting season towards making the society a better place.

Prince Akanmode while congratulating Kogi Muslims on the Ramadan, urged them to obey the teachings of the period.
