A staff of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Emmanuel Oluwakorede, has reported a robbery case to the state police command.
Korede, a Lokoja-based journalist, said unknown criminals broke into his Lokongoma Housing Estate (Phase I) residence in the early hours af Saturday and stole his motorcycle.
According to the broadcast journalist, the stolen Jincheng motorcycle, with registration number ERE597QA, was parked in the compound on Friday night after he returned from a church programme.
He, however, expressed dismay that when the matter was reported at the D Division of the Nigeria Police, Kogi State Command, he was asked to bring N3,000 to open file for the case.
He described the matter as unfortunate, saying the motorcycle which he purchased in 2014 has been his main source of mobility in the course of performing his duties as a journalist.
