Profile: Hon. David Idris Zacharias

Hon. David Idris Zacharis was born in Ejule, Igalogba District, Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State on the 27th December, 1972. He started his primary Education at St. Martins primary school, Ejule between 1978 and 1983. Subsequently, Hon. Zacharias proceeded to Community Secondary School, Ejule, where he obtained his senior secondary school certificate.

Hon Zacharias proceeded to the prestigious university of Abuja where he obtained a (B.sc) in Sociology. Hon. Zacharias has also attended Reforming Leadership Institution, Abuja.

Professionally, Hon. David Zacharia is into properties and real estate management/development, both in Nigeria and the United Arab Emirate. He is the MD/CEO, Eden Multibiz Project Ltd., an Africa proprietary firm. He is also a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Maina Court Facility Management Services Ltd.

David Idris Zacharias is the President and Founder of David Zacharias Foundation, a non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization that is out to salvage the deplorable living conditions of the socially and economically disadvantaged in society.

The David Zacharias Foundation is currently training 60 orphans in private primary schools in Ejule, his hometown, and is presently sponsoring over 100 students in Community Secondary School, Ejule.

Over 1,200 widows in Ejule, Ugwolawo and Idah are currently benefiting from the charitable deeds of the David Zacharias Foundation, a tour de force, or rather, a spectacular achievement which is being extended to Ibaji and Igalamela/Odolu areas!

Away from that, David Zacharias Foundation has made gargantuan provision of teaching aids such as notebooks, pens, and chalk to about 22 public and private schools across communities that make up the Idah Federal constituency in Kogi State.

Five hundred (500) students across Odeke, Onyedega, Elele and Unale in Ibaji are currently benefiting from scholarships courtesy David Zacharias Foundation.

In Idah Local Government, there are seven hundred (700) students which cut across Government Technical College, Dickson Memorial College, Idah Secondary Commercial College, Ogah Memorial Grammar School, Government Science Secondary School, and Government Girls’ Secondary School benefiting from David Zacharias Foundation Scholarship Scheme.

In Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, six hundred and twenty (620) students which cut across Ajaka, Egabada, Oforachi, Ogbogbo, Akpanya and Odolu are beneficiaries of Zacharias Foundation.

In Ofu Local Government, eight hundred (800) students cutting across Aloji, Ochadamu, Ofakaga, Alloma, Ejule and Ugwolawo communities are on scholarship courtesy the Zacharias Foundation.

The Zacharias Foundation in collaboration with Life Gate Foundation, sent relief materials to flood victims in Kogi state, a feat which was personally received and appreciated by the former Governor of Kogi state, captain Idris Ichalla Wada.

Moreover, the Zacharias Foundation has taken ample steps to promoting science education in Igala land via the provision of science textbooks and laboratory equipment to a number of schools. Besides, the Zacharias Foundation made immense donations which midwifed the construction of the Akpagidigbo School Hall.

David Idris Zacharias, the President and Founder, David Zacharias Foundation is not only compassionate and selfless, but is a man of common sense and common sensibilities with an outstanding moral character. He believes in the majority having their say and their way, and have penchant for teamwork.
