Prince Gowon Enenche Mourns Professor Enojo Kennie

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections and Chairman of G1 Luxury Homes, Hon. Prince Gowon Enenche (G1), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned academic and educator, Professor Enojo Kennie, describing his death as a monumental loss to the academic community and society at large.

In a condolence message made available to journalists on Friday, Hon. Enenche paid glowing tribute to the late professor, recalling his personal encounter with him as a student of Kogi State University, Anyigba, now Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU).

“It is with a heavy heart that I pay tribute to a distinguished scholar, dedicated educator, and fine gentleman, Professor Enojo Kennie,” Enenche stated.

The SDP chieftain noted that Prof. Kennie was not only an exceptional lecturer but also a mentor whose commitment to academic excellence inspired generations of students.

“Having had the privilege of being taught by him during my days at Kogi State University, Anyigba, now Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), I can personally attest to his commitment to academic excellence and his passion for guiding young minds. He was a steady mentor to countless students, leaving an indelible mark on all who passed through his lecture halls,” he said.

Hon. Enenche further observed that the late professor’s influence extended beyond the classroom, adding that his enduring legacy would continue to be felt through the many individuals he nurtured intellectually and morally.

“His legacy lives on through the many lives he shaped and transformed,” he added.

The G1 Luxury Homes Chairman prayed for the repose of the deceased scholar’s soul and asked God to comfort his family, friends, colleagues, former students, and the entire university community during this difficult period.

“May his noble soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may Almighty God grant his family, loved ones, and the entire university community the strength to bear this loss. Goodbye, Prof.,” Enenche concluded.

Professor Enojo Kennie was widely respected for his scholarship, discipline, and unwavering dedication to education. His passing has continued to attract tributes from former students, colleagues, political leaders, and stakeholders across Kogi State and beyond, many of whom have described him as a rare intellectual giant whose contributions to higher education will remain unforgettable.
