The whereabouts of the younger brother to the former Governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, kidnapped on Monday at gunpoint by unknown gunmen at his home in Aloma, Ofu local Government Area of the state, remain unknown.
Ibrahim Audu was said to have been kidnapped at about 8 p.m. on Monday by five heavily armed men, who reportedly fired several shots into the air to scare away the neighbours.
Another elder brother of the victim, Abdulkadir Audu,, who confirmed the kidnap of the brother to newsmen, described the victim as a peaceful and easy going man, wondering why he should be a target of the evil men.

As at press time, the kidnappers were yet to make any contact with the family of the victim, even as there are claims the incident was politically-motivated.
The former Governor, Abubakar Audu, was not available for comment on the incident, as he was said to have travelled to the United States.
