In the early hours of Sunday, the information reaching Kogi West APC has it in reality that some selected PDP chieftains in an undisclosed venue in Abuja has concluded plans to assassinate the strong man of APC in Kogi West, Alhaji Taufiq Isah, the Kogi State ALGON Chairman and other selected leaders.
We also want to state in a very strong term that the lives of the APC members in Ijumu Local Government and it environs is in perpetual dangers as PDP imported thugs are known to be lodged in two hotels, one in Kabba and the other in Ayetoro Gbede.
72 Hours ago, an unknown number called the Administrator of Ijumu Local Government, threatening his life if he did not thread carefully with his campaign for APC candidates.
However, the Administrator of Ijumu Local Government, Hon. Taufiq Isa has reiterated in several fora that he will deliver all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Recall, 28 Hours ago, the Kogi State Speaker, Rt. Hon.Mathew Kolawole escaped assassination attempt by unknown gunmen.
The reasons for the importation of thugs cannot be farfetched other than to orchestrate violence, disrupt the peace of the land and cause chaos of unimaginable magnitude aimed at destabilizing the polity thereby making the Local Government ungovernable. To ravage the peaceful communities in the Local Government. To make true their threats and proving further their long term thuggery capacity.
At this juncture, we want to call on the Traditional rulers, Security Agencies, Community leaders, Party Men of Ijumu Local Government to kindly appeal and beam their torchlight to Ijumu PDP.
We believe that no one is above the law.
