PRESS RELEASE.
The attention of the National secretariat of Igàla Youth Congress(IYC) has been drawn to the reoccurring abuse of office, gross negligence and dereliction of duties by the present president, Mr Samuel AY Ameh.
Until the date of this press release the President Mr Samuel AY Ameh is verified to have:
1. Opened and operated a sole account in the name of IYC, where he receives and withdraws IYC funds without approval from the Exco and uses this funds for his personal problems.
2. The president is also presumed to have been using this same account to extort money from people and well wishers in the name of IYC.
3. Several unruly behaviors,direct and unnecessary attacks on members,unguarded comments and decisions that are unworthy,inappropriate and deformative to the office he represents and the Igàla Youth Congress.
4. The president is equally guilty of Political fanaticism, where he has on several occasions supported and despised aspirants from Kogi East, playing host to rallies and political meetings that does not encourage none partisanship of the Congress.
5. Excessive rascality, tyranny and autocracy in the administrating process of Congress, has distorted the free flow of follower-ship and exposing IYC to unnecessary attacks in the public domain.
6. Exiting and abandoning IYC platforms for no just reasons.
7. Piloting the affairs of the congress contrary to the democratic ideas that informed it’s administrating process.
8. Direct and indirect attacks of exco members and general members of the Congress on the grounds that they do not share similar opinion with him on certain topics.
9. Excessive nepotism in the dissemination of duties and positions in the Congress.
10. Direct abuse of Members and calling of names that are heavily insulting and totally devalues one’s common respect.
After due verification and a very strong deliberation, the general Exco of IYC, has resolved and adopted as follows:
1. That Mr. Samuel AY Ameh be made to provide all the extorted funds of the Igàla youth congress as accounted by the Treasurer.
2. That Mr Samuel AY Ameh be relieved of the position of president of IYC with effect from this day.
3. That the general secretary, Comr. Ojoachele Akor Felix take the mantle of acting president with effect from this day as we await other resolution from the national Secretariat of IYC in due course.
The general public is hereby advised not to transact any business or whatsoever with Mr. Samuel AY Ameh on behalf of IYC or its affiliates as he is no longer the IYC president.
