The National coordinator of Okun Youth Congress, Mr Opeyemi Duke has described as hypocrite, untrue and self-conceit the claim by Senator Tunde Ogbeha that he did not seek 3rd term in the Senate because if the rotational arrangement that exist in Kogi west.
Mr Opeyemi Duke in a swift reaction to Senator Ogbeha’s comment ” I can categorically confirm that such gentleman agreement exist because I was a direct beneficiary of the arrangement that made me not to seek re-election for third term in senate” said Senator Ogbeha should blame his political misfortune on his misrepresentation and total disconnect from his constituents and not rotation.
We are all aware that, towards the tail end of Senator Ogbeha second term tenure, he set up some machinery to galvanise support for his 3rd term ambition but the people resisted him sighting his active involvement in the Obasanjo tenure elongation scandal which was seen as a misrepresentation of the wish of the people of Kogi west. It is now self-deception for Senator Ogbeha to blame his rejection on rotation, Mr Opeyemi said.
“I urge the good people of Kogi west Senatorial district to remain committed and continue to support Senator Smart Adeyemi quality representation and emancipation agenda which has earned him ‘The advocate of the Masses’ by the President of the Senate of Nigeria and his resolve to bring succour to his constituents beyond 2015”
